Anita is a TRUE STORY about the life of Hong Kong singer, actress, and social activist Anita Mui Yim-fong (梅艷芳): Story The film is a biographical musical drama that covers Anita's life from childhood to her death from cervical cancer in 2003. It captures Anita's sassy energy and fearless spirit, and how she became known as the "Madonna of the East" and the "Daughter of Hong Kong". Cast Louise Wong Tan-ni (王丹妮) stars as Anita Mui in her screen role debut, with Fish Liew Chi-yu (廖子妤), Gordon Lam Ka-tung (林家棟), and Louis Koo Tin-lok (古天樂) in supporting roles. Director Longman Leung Lok-man (梁樂民) directed the film, which he co-wrote梁樂民 with Jack Ng Wai-lun (吳煒倫).
