Short video looking at the Edinburgh Taxi Parade, an annual event taking under priviledged kids with special needs and life limiting conditions on a day outing to the seaside which takes place on the second Tuesday of June. Filmed in the centre of Edinburgh in the Old Town on The Mound and the Royal Mile.

The annual trip takes youngsters out to the coast in East Lothian where the parade usually starts from Edinburgh Zoo through Murrayfield then through the City Centre passing through Haymarket Train Station then onto Princes Street up the Mound then takes a sharp left down the Royal Mile then moves onto towards Meadowbank towards Portobello Road passing through the town there then onto Musselburgh.
Taxis are decorated in balloons and make their way to Archerfield.
The taxi parade has been taking place since 1947 and has been running every year for more than 70 years. Many of Edinburgh's cabbies take the day off to transport children to the seaside.
