Interviewer asks him what he planned to achieve by attending the conference. He replies he hopes 'to break this stupid Federation', which he did not achieve, but did not expect to do it at first. Interviewer asks him if he was still against the Federation, to which he replies "As ever. Nothing has changed." Dr Banda then goes on to describe his experience in visiting for the conference. He had the opportunity to meet Harold MacMillan whom he describes as a very, very understanding man. They met at Chequers. He says of this meeting "My coming has been at least worthwhile in that respect." He had the opportunity for the second time to meet Sir Roy (?) with whom he went to Chequers.
