Minecraft original painting reveal 1/25: "Kebab"

My old paintings for Minecraft seem to enjoy a revived interest, to say the least. I have been surprised by the large number of people wanting to see the originals, so in the upcoming weeks, a new "reveal" will be posted every other day or so, and my intention is to write some brief background info to each one. Many of my long time followers have allready seen these ad nauseam, and to you guys I apologize in advance, but here we go. I'll be posting all 25 of them - starting today. Number 1/25: "Kebab" Back when I was a student at the Royal College of Art in Stockholm, (1996-2001) I was mainly focused on studying classical painting. In order to practice my skill at 'alla prima' painting and colour observation, I wanted to paint some simple, colourful and organic still lifes - but I was apprehensive painting flowers.
