At the time, her town was experiencing a series of brutal murders. Jamie realizes that the killer is the same person who is chasing her in the present. Jamie teams up with her friend, Dave, and her mother, Lily, to investigate the killer. They learn that the killer is a man named "John," a local teenager with mental health problems. In the end, Jamie is able to stop the killer. She returns to her present time, happy that she was able to prevent more victims.
