Daniel is forced to work with seven other victims in order to survive. The film reveals that Jigsaw is a man named John Kramer, a terminally ill man who believes that people don't appreciate their lives. He puts his victims in test games to challenge their will to live. In the end, Daniel is able to escape the game, but many of the other victims are killed. The film also reveals that John Kramer is suffering from a crisis of faith, as he doubts the morality of his games.
