Plot
Suzuko Sato is an ordinary teen who feels unappreciated by her family and neighbors because they only praise her brother for his intelligence. She's desperate to move out of her parents' house, so she accepts an offer from her co-worker to become roommates. To her surprise, her co-worker's boyfriend, Takeshi, is also moving in, despite not mentioning it until after they've signed the lease. Things only get worse when Takeshi, upset over a recent argument with his girlfriend, throws out Suzuko's cat. Suzuko retaliates by throwing away all of Takeshi's belongings, then quickly moves out before he can return.
The next day at work, Suzuko meets with detectives who question her about illegally throwing away Takeshi's stuff. They fine her and give her a criminal record. The news spreads quickly around her neighborhood, making her feel even more isolated. Suzuko decides to save one million yen so she can move out of town and escape the rumors. She starts looking for a new job, and plans to save up the money as quickly as possible, so she can move on to the next town and start her life a fresh.
