Based on events surrounding the bombing of Hiroshima, Japan, during World War II, this drama depicts the nuclear explosion and its effects, as viewed by survivors of various nationalities. Among the people featured in the film are German priest Father Siemes], Japanese physician Dr. Hara and American soldier Pete Dunham.
