Today I’m gonna take you shopping with me in Akihabara. If you’re a fan of anime, manga and games, you definitely have to add this place to your Tokyo itinerary.
1. Bic Camera
- a general electronics shop. They also carry a wide range of products including duty free items from electronic devices, household items and even toys.

2. Animate
- the leading Anime merch shop in Japan. They sell anime-related character products, books, magazines, Blu-rays, DVDs, CDs, games and a lot more.

3. Don Quijote
- This branch in Akihabara has a lot of anime, Pokemon and Ghibli items as well. You’ll also find a lot of Japanese-themed items that you would surely love to take home as a souvenir from your Japan trip. So many unique Japanese snacks as well!

4. Lashinbang
- one of Japan’s largest used anime goods store selling various otaku items, such as plushies, figures, badges, keychains and many more.

5. Super Potato
- a Japanese video game store known for its collection of retrogames. Their top floor is a haven for 80s-90s arcade game lovers. There’s an entire floor dedicated to rare Japanese games from older consoles.

6. Kotobukiya
- Another shop with various anime and gaming merch. There are plastic models, figures, gacha-gacha and other miscellaneous goods.

7. Mandarake
- This 8-story complex is a one-stop-shop for anime and game collectors. Most are used items, and there’s also a section of rare and vintage figures.
