Kankuro Haruhara (Tomohisa Yamashita) is a research officer at the Meteorological Research Institute. With his handsome appearance and fresh smile, he appears on the weather segment of a news program. He is also a chief at the SDM (special disaster response) Headquarters, whose purpose is to protect lives from weather disasters. While he is excellent at work and possesses vast meteorological knowledge, he is often resented by his colleagues at work due to making biting remarks. Because of Kankuro Haruhara’s passion and straightforward mindset on saving lives, he eventually changed how his colleagues viewed him. Kankuro Haruhara tries to make SDM Headquarters the best it can be and chases after a mystery.
