In Saw 3, Dr. Lynn Denlon wakes up in a locked room with a man named James Wilson, who is suffering from a brain tumor. The Saw puppet tells her that James has 60 minutes to save his life by cutting off his right foot.
Meanwhile, Detective Eric Matthews is forced to watch his own Saw game, where he must either kill John Kramer or let his wife, Lisa, die.
In the end, Lynn succeeds in saving James, and Eric is able to kill John. However, the film reveals that John is not actually dead, and he is planning another game.
