I flew aboard New Zealand's Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner from Auckland, New Zealand to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in May 2022. This is a popular route connecting both American and Canadian travelers to New Zealand. Many passengers also use Air New Zealand to connect further into Australian destinations and other Pacific destinations. This flight is also used by many New Zealanders to connect onto other popular North American or Western European routes from Vancouver. Overall it was a solid flight and certainly comparable to competitors between North America and Oceania. It was great to see free wifi aboard Air NZ, though I would appreciate a better mid-flight water or snack service.
