I Cooked an Alien Looking Shell Fish The first time I ate one of these was back in 2002 , scuba diving in Hadsan Beach Resort Cebu Mactan with my wife and my cousin. After that I got hooked , I had to find out what it was called , and has been one of my favorites ever since . The SAANG or the SPIDER Shell Fish is what it's called. There are only a few friendly aliens in Movies and in Television , I can recall E.T. , ALF or even Mac , in Mac and Me , compared to a dozen hostile ones , Body Snatchers , Eve in Species , The Predator , those shape-shifters , Klingons and those Slimey alien contaminations from space and not to even Mention MIB Ridley Scott brought to us a terrifying view of an Alien Parasite of Viral proportions devouring humans in a Hostile environment. Alien 1979 , for me , was by far one of the best breakthroughs in Sci-fi Movies. Especially with Lt.Ellen Ripley as the main Protagonist , a different direction from all the male commando types in the late eighties. So as unlikely as you want to associate food to Aliens , I couldn't help not see the resemblence of the Spider Shell Fish to Ridley Scott's Parasitic Gestating Spider. You may lose your appetite for a while thinking about it , but I just had to do this because it's just plain exciting to see something so Alien , and the Shell fish dish is just too hard to pass. Don't worry I guarantee you the Shell Fish is just Delicious , Boiled or Sauteed , just get beyond the Slimey parasite idea im giving you ...
