TOKYO On A Backpacker Budget 🇯🇵

2 Tontonan01/09/2024

We arrived in Tokyo and headed straight to the iconic Shibuya crossing to get our first feel of the busy bustling city of Tokyo. The next morning, the first stop was a coffee shop as we were both very tired from a few fast weeks of travel but the coffee perked us up and the okonomiyaki muffin was the strangest thing we ate in Japan! With new found energy, we sought out GiGo the MEGA games arcade (rebranded from Sega) in the Akihabara area. We had fun playing Mario Kart, Pac-Man and retro games we grew up with before we stopped off for some ramen and gyoza. The Uniqlo 12 floor flagship store was incredible so we had a quick shop before checking out 'Piss Alley' in the Shinjuku area, also known as Omoide Yokocho. Streets of small bars reminiscent of the good old days serving beers and meat skewers, definitely a place to add to your travel itinerary. We ended the vlog by visiting Tokyo's oldest bakery Ginza Kimuraya to test out their melon bread which was tasted so good, we've been thinking about it ever since! We then went back to the Shibuya crossing to view it from above and we share a budget friendly (free!) way of observing this iconic sight.
