Following Apache Chief Cochise who is attempting to keep peace with Major Jim Colton's cavalry outfit at Fort Buchanan. Things begin to go awry when a stubborn Indian Affairs advisor comes west and stirs up hostilities between the soldiers and Cochise's Chiricahuas with underhanded dealings involving renegade Mogollon leader Geronimo.
