The Anime That Made Me Realize My Dreams

The latest anime that managed to reach my heart. Josee, the Tiger and the Fish is a romantic comedy drama film based on the 1984 short story by Seiko Tanabe. The story focuses on two adults, the college student Tsuneo and the dreamer Josee who lives her life stuck in a wheelchair. After a fateful encounter, Tsuneo unexpectedly becomes the caretaker of Josee in order to raise money for his dream to go diving in Mexico. But this was the start when the tide turns against them, as soon they will push each other to places they have never thought possible. The movie takes us on this rollercoaster of a journey as we see both our main characters find themselves in this world. It was animated by Studio Bones, creators of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Boku no Hero Academia, Noragami, Mob Psycho 100, and many more. And it was directed by Koutarou Tamura. The soundtrack of the movie was composed by Evan Call (known for being the composer of Violet Evergarden), and the theme songs (Ao no waltz & Shinkai) was made by E ve.
