An explosion in a subway tunnel brings Conan, accompanied by Ran Mouri, Kogorou Mouri, Professor Agasa, Sonoko Suzuki, and the Detective Boys, to investigate Kitanosawa where they meet a group of locals who used to live in the village nearby before it was relocated. However, just as one mystery leads to another, one of the locals is murdered.
