Young Jinta and his sister are forced to leave their house during the Edo period and take sanctuary in a mountain village. Jinta faces the evil beast in the forest after being charged with killing a demon that poses a threat to the shrine, only to discover a startling reality. The demon describes what will happen in a century and seventy years, when Jinta will have to face the demon. As Jinta hunts a demon through time and has to confront his own evil side, an epic fantasy odyssey spanning several eras begins.
