With a career spanning several decades, Heraldo has contributed significantly to Brazilian instrumental music, both in the jazz scene and in the fusion of typically Brazilian genres such as choro, frevo, baião, and maracatu. Heraldo do Monte's career includes collaborations with great names in Brazilian music, such as Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti, Sivuca, and the Quinteto Violado.
