This gigantic new arcade in the Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island, NY just opened a few weeks ago, and we took a trip out this weekend to check it out! Named "ClawCADE", this had its grand opening to the public on September 16th, 2024, and it's pretty impressive. It's following the Round1 model of having a mix of about half of the store being dedicated to claw machines, and the other half being a mix of current, popular arcade games. They do things a little bit differently here, though. For one, you can trade in any of the plushes that you win and receive points that you can then spend towards other prizes that they have available at the main counter. Two, the vibe of the place is immaculate. Everything is awash in bright teal and pink neon, with mirrored surfaces. It feels absolutely fresh and modern. And three, they have several different options available; you can either load up a card with credits and play like you would at any other spot. Or you can get a timed play card if you're only interested in the video games and don't care about winning prizes. Or, you can sign up for a monthly membership, which is pricey at $34.95 but it includes a $25 game card when you sign up, an additional $10 game card every week, and 10% off the credit cost of all the games. Not a great deal for someone who's out of the area, but if you're a local I can definitely see this being very enticing. Other than the claw machines, what do they have here? A lot of the latest and greatest games alongside the usual fan-favorites. For example, you'll find the newest Fast & Furious and Super Bikes 3 here representing the racers. Jurassic Park, Big Buck Hunter Reloaded, Bullseye Quick Shot, and Aliens Armageddon hit the mark for shooters. Redemption games have a lot of the usual stuff that you'd expect to find like Down the Clown, Big Bass Wheel, and Whack-A-Clown, but they also have some newer ones like Quarterback Pro and the just recently released Lane Master Xtreme, which is an absolute
