Sinopsis Ami, seorang backpacker dari Jepang yang empat tahun lebih tua dari Jimmy, muncul di pekerjaan paruh waktu Jimmy, siswa sekolah menengah atas. Keduanya akhirnya menghabiskan musim panas bekerja di toko yang sama, tetapi Jimmy perlahan-lahan mulai menyukai Ami. Keduanya semakin dekat saat mereka mengendarai sepeda motor bersama di malam hari dan pergi ke bioskop, namun tiba-tiba Ami memutuskan untuk kembali ke Jepang. Ami mengajukan "satu janji" kepada Jimmy yang tidak mampu mengatur perasaannya. Seiring berjalannya waktu, Jimmy mengunjungi rumah orang tuanya untuk pertama kalinya setelah sekian lama dan menemukan kartu pos yang dikirimkan Ami kepadanya 18 tahun lalu ketika dia kembali ke Jepang. Kenangan Jimmy tentang cinta pertamanya kembali padanya, dan dia memulai perjalanan solo pertamanya ke Jepang untuk menghadapi masa lalu dan melihat masa kini. Jimmy naik kereta sambil mendengarkan lagu-lagu yang mengingatkannya pada kenangannya bersama Ami, dan berangkat ke kampung halamannya. Akankah Jimmy bisa bertemu kembali dengan Ami?
