Little Johnny is brought to the plantation of his grandmother, where he meets Uncle Remus and is instructed by his tales of the animated Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear. Ginny Favers, a local girl, and Johnny become friends, but Ginny's vicious brothers bully Johnny. More than just Uncle Remus is needed to save him after he unintentionally gets gored by a bull. His parents must reconcile in order to once again have a happy family.
