The film examines the efforts of a group of volunteers who have been working in the notorious woods of Rogoredo, known as one of Europe’s worst drug hotspots. Since large-scale drug dealing began in Rogoredo—a post-industrial suburb on the southern outskirts of Milan—in 2015, the area has frequently made headlines in news reports, talk shows, and current affairs programmes. Despite the extensive media attention, very little has been done to address the issue. In 2017, Simone Feder assembled a team of dedicated volunteers, mostly young people, to provide basic relief and support to the hundreds of individuals who come to Rogoredo to buy and use drugs. Over the past eight years, their presence has injected hope and compassion into the lives of these individuals, aiding many on their journey to recovery. The film shares some of their stories.
