On the Long March of the Red Army, there was such a battle. During the Long March, the Central Red Army fought a fierce battle with the Kuomintang in the Xiangjiang area of northwest Guangxi in order to break through the encirclement and suppression of the Kuomintang reactionaries.
After this battle, the Central Red Army dropped sharply from 84,000 to 30,000, and almost half of its people were wiped out. This tragic battle was the Battle of Xiangjiang River.
