The Spectacular Now (2013)

The Spectacular Now is this coming-of-age movie where this dude, Sutter, is like this carefree party guy who doesn't give a shit about the future, just lives in the moment, ya know? Then he meets Aimee, this sweet, shy girl who’s kind of the opposite of him but like, also deep down has her own shit going on. Sutter starts getting close to her, but it’s messy, cuz dude’s got his own issues with his fam, alcohol, and thinking everything’s fine when it’s not. It’s this kinda raw, real movie about how your choices shape your life, and how the people you meet can make you wanna be better or screw things up even more. Like, the way it’s done is super chill, not a lot of big dramatic moments, but it hits in a way that makes you feel for these characters and their struggles. It’s kinda sad, but also real as fuck.
