The Shore Fun Family Fun Center in Bethany Beach, Delaware, is the largest arcade in town. Actually, scratch that -- it's technically the ONLY arcade in town. While there's more several miles to the north, west, and south, this is it when it comes to games in Bethany Beach proper. But honestly, as far as arcades go, this has a pretty decent selection! Located on the 2nd floor of the Bethany Town Center, this takes up a good chunk of the upstairs, and they make the most of all the space they've got. Paths are a bit on the tight side when walking through the arcade just because of all the space they're utilizing. Like most beach arcades, there's a heavy focus on redemption games and claw machines, but those aren't the only games they've got here. Rhythm games are represented by a combination of the ever-popular Guitar Hero Arcade as well as the DDR competitor, In The Groove 2, which is clearly being well-maintained as it's in excellent condition and plays wonderfully. A trio of pinball machines can be found along the rightmost wall, with Foo Fighters, Jurassic Park, and Jaws making appearances here. Terminator Salvation, Injustice, the newest TMNT beat-em-up, and a trio of Mario Kart all make appearances here. The 20th anniversary Ms. Pac-Man + Galaga cabinet shows up here again, and surprisingly, so does Arm Champs II! And of course, there's some vintage Skee-Ball lanes as well as a trio of air hockey tables. But the thing my son and I were most excited to see here was the new "Vs." edition of Bobblehead Baseball. While it's a redemption game, the addition of a 2-player head-to-head mode has really given it a new life, and with him being a huge baseball fan, we've been looking forward to giving this a try since it made the rounds at trade shows last year. Happy to report it's just as fun as I had hoped!
