I walked from Harajuku to Shibuya.
The area between Harajuku Station and Shibuya Station is known as the center of Tokyo's youth culture.
As you exit Harajuku Station, the first thing you will see is Takeshita-dori Avenue. This street is filled with some of Harajuku's most colorful and unique fashion people. It is crowded with unique boutiques, vintage clothing stores, and food stands.
A short distance off Takeshita-dori, you will enter the Omotesando area, lined with luxury brand stores.
Further on, you will find yourself in the back alleys of Harajuku's unique downtown area. While the long-established stores and restaurants of the shopping district remain, the unique murals decorated with street art also catch the eye.
As you approach Shibuya, you will begin to see large shopping and commercial buildings. This area has a free and open atmosphere where young people's subcultures come and go.
Eventually, you will end up at the great scramble intersection in Shibuya, and in the 1 km stretch between Harajuku and Shibuya, you will find a unique and exciting view of Tokyo, where the old townscape and modern fashion trends coexist.
