The Avengers get together to celebrate their most recent triumph, but the festivities are cut short when Red Guardian, Black Widow's father, mysteriously vanishes. When the Avengers investigate, they come across a dangerous new adversary that is unlike any other that they have ever faced, leading them to believe that Red Guardian is not the only one missing.
