Prequel to Arknights perish in frost. The world of Terra has experienced a remarkable technological surge with the unearthing of Originium, a black crystalline mineral. The energy-rich substance has made it possible for people to showcase magical abilities called Arts. Catastrophes, resulting from the mineral, reveal huge deposits of Originium. Unfortunately, the utilization of Originium carries the danger of contracting Oripathy, which is a contagious and untreatable disease. Due to this, authorities discriminate against the infected, and this leads to protest groups like Reunion. These rebels mercilessly destroy cities, making the Catastrophes worse than ever before. Rhodes Island, a paramilitary pharmaceutical group, is dedicated to providing equal treatment for both the infected and the uninfected. They are believed to be the most innovative in finding a cure for Oripathy. However, the project's head, an enigmatic individual known merely as the Doctor, suffers from amnesia, thereby threatening the only hope for freeing the afflicted from their anguish.
