When Rolex released the current generation Oyster Perpetual at the end of August 2020, they took the watch world by storm. Coming in a range of sizes and colors, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual quickly became one of the most discussed and sought-after model lines in the Rolex catalogue. Though more vibrant colors took center stage out the gate, the yellow dial has found a passionate audience.
Housed in a 36mm Oyster case produced in Rolex’s signature 904L Oystersteel, produced by their in-house foundry, the Oyster Perpetual is the platonic ideal of a Rolex steel sports watch. The watch’s Oyster case, paired with a screw-down Twinlock crown, ensures water resistance up to 100M, and the clasp of the Oyster bracelet includes Rolex’s signature Easylink tool free adjustment, which offers a quick and easy 5mm adjustment to the length of the bracelet.
Simple, robust, and timeless, this Oyster Perpetual is powered by the Rolex manufacture calibre 3230 and carries the brands signature “Superlative Chronometer” rating, offering accuracy within 2 seconds a day, along with a power reserve of 70 hours.
