"Joan was six years old when she was kidnapped by a stranger in front of their house in Tondo, [Manila]. After 17 years, she hasn't been found yet. Joan is 22 years old now. "Here, Vicky Morales will visit a shelter for 'missing persons' where we'll meet Soledad, a 70-year-old lady who has [Alzheimer's] disease. According to her, she went to buy some medicines for her husband and lost her way back. Now she stays in the shelter and is being helped by a social worker bring her back home [sic]. What does a missing person go through? How does it feel to be away from a loved one' "If any of our [family members or friends disappear], where do we go for help? Here in the Philippines, [there's] no government agency or branch that could help us except the policemen. But according to them, that is not their priority. There are more problems in our society that [need] more attention. So they are left to themselves resorting not just to the help of newspapers, radio, [and] television but even to physics [sic]."--
