Learn PHRASAL VERBs..TURN On and TURN Off and why it is important to remember to say both parts of the Phrasal Verb: the verb + particle. Get to know Phrasal Verbs and feel confident using them to speak English naturally. What I say in this VIDEO: It's important to use and say both parts of a Phrasal Verb: the verb and the particle “Emily, turn on the light, please” Turn on (something) means to make a machine or piece of equipment start working, by pressing a button. “Can you turn off the light?” Turn off (something) means to make a machine or piece of equipment stop working by pressing a button. If I forgot to use the particle "on" with "turn" and I said "Emily, turn the light, please" She'd turn the light like this. "turn" means to move something in a circular direction. "You need to turn the key in the lock slowly" If you forget to say the Phrasal Verb particle the other person will not understand you. Remember to use and say both parts of the Phrasal Verb the verb and the particle. YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI4Eb8fEhfCFwqN4tzR7f-g Ta ta for now, Louise
