This animation was produced in 1975, based on a book by Rudyard Kipling called The White Seal. The cartoon was designed and directed by Chuck Jones, the same one who has done several episodes of Tom & Jerry. The cartoon tells the story of Kotick, a seal that was born white, different from the other seals in his region. In the course of its growth, it witnesses the suffering and persecution that those of its kind face due to the hunting of human beings. Undeterred by the situation, which lasted several years, Kotick sets out to find a place where all seals can live free of their greatest enemy, man. In one seal herd, a young seal pup with a rare white coloring named Kotick is born. When he matures, he learns of the deadly threat that human hunters pose to the herd through their activities. While Kotick is able to save the herd on one occasion, he is fully aware that the threat is not over. Now he must take on the seemingly impossible quest to find home for his herd where humans will never intrude
